Exploring Routes for Activism

The Gay Agenda

This zine serves as an informative booklet to spread information about the history of LGBTQ+ activism and contemporary queer spaces. Designed to be mass printed and widely distributed, the content is condensed for the reader to easily absorb with dynamic spreads and vibrant photographs.

Nuclear

This book was an exercise in designing with a large amount of text. The heading and title text is in a typeface I developed using a creative system to deconstruct and rebuild letterforms. The book’s content explores the idea of an “ideal nuclear family” and what that means in the context of current times. A guide to building a picket fence, how to be a good wife, and a 1950s recipe are juxtaposed with excerpts from Nelson v. Baker (a 1971 ban on same sex marriage), Obergfell v. Hodges (a 2015 overruling of the ban on same sex marriage), and testimonies from the Queer Nation Manifesto.
